IMI Critical Engineering will be in attendance at the 2016 Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC) from the 7th to the 10th of November. ADIPEC is a major event on the oil and gas industry calendar. There will be 8,500 conference delegates and over 95,000 visitors from over 120 countries attending the 2016 event to discuss trends in the oil and gas sector.
The IMI Critical Engineering stand will focus on the new 100DPC multi-trim DRAG® production choke valve; an improved version of the existing 100D choke valve.
Located at the wellhead, where the well-fluid is first extracted from the field, the production choke valve is arguably the most severe service application in the oil and gas industry. It is essential for providing safely controlled inlet pressures for downstream processes and must handle some of the most difficult fluids and conditions of the entire oil and gas process chain. Its function is to safely control both the flow rate and pressure of the well fluid as it enters the downstream processing equipment.
With the 100DPC multi-trim DRAG® production choke valve, IMI CCI have standardised a product range to maximize valve service life and minimize total valve life cycle costs by addressing the specific severe service concerns which apply to this arduous application.
These concerns, often manifesting as maintenance issues or catastrophic failures in the field, are primarily erosion, vibration, noise, corrosion and turndown.
