IMI Remosa has received a letter of recommendation from Rominserv, after successfully completing the inspection, repairs and testing of valves and actuators during a scheduled shutdown of the Petromidia Refinery in May 2017.
The Petromidia refinery is the biggest of its kind in Romania and one of the most modern in the Black Sea region. Nevertheless, there were complex repairs that needed to be carried out when IMI Remosa was asked to inspect and repair the refinery's Fluid Catalytic Converter (FCC) unit slide valves (Flue Gas, Diverter, Spent Catalyst and Regenerated Catalyst valves) and hydraulic power unit (HPU) actuators. This included replacing internal parts, repairing sealing surfaces and abrasion-resistant linings and testing the HPUs, as well as preventative maintenance of the entire system.
In its letter of recommendation, Rominserv highlighted Remosa's "good knowledge of equipment… good planning and scheduling skills" during "complex" works, which were all completed on schedule.
